i love love love this picture. it pretty much speaks for itself. jackson could swim for hours everyday. water has always helped calm his restless soul. i keep going back to make it more perfect. i think i am done and need to leave it alone. thoughts ????? please leave comments.

these are the days....

these are the days of their lives. tuesday evening when the light was just right i took this picture. they were all looking up at a spider in a tree. i can only hope these are the days the kids remember. playing with their friends as the light fades into the night. i hope they remeber the shadows changing as summer becomes fall, eating pizza, riding bikes, just being little and free and playing forest fairies in the neighbors tree.

Electra mini-rod

so, we were trying to save this for Lucas til his party. we did not make it. i picked it up this afternoon and we woke him up early from his nap to give it t him. that is how excited we are about this bike. sean and i both have Electra cruisers and we heart them sooooo much. when i saw this one online i knew it was the bike for Lucas. i added a bell that says "i heart my bike." i love all the little wonderful design details. the handle grips have flames on them, the red rims, and black handle bars and pedals really complete the look (click on photo to admire details). the sales man at the bike shop kept going on about what a finely crafted bike it was. he was so excited that i was buying this bike!!! Lucas absolutely loves it and feels like a big boy cruising on his new bike!

goggles

for some unknown reason, this boy does not take a bad picture. we had misplaced Lucas' dolphin goggles so i replaced them with sharks. he was so excited to wear them today. he is the only person i know who looks good in goggle!!!!

i love the watery blue background with the vibrancy of the goggles.

i love to take photos on Tuesday's because there are sooo many little people around. I will call this shoot:

i am currently trying to clearly identify my photography style. i am also trying to learn to hold my larger lens steady. i love how the zoom distorts the depth of field. so i am sure in a bit i will be completely unsatisfied with my current work. everyone needs a hobby.

Back on the blog....

so, i decided to get back on the blog. i have decided to use a conversational dialogue for my blog. do not let grammatical errors consume you. i do not have enough energy to be correct. so why not just let it all go!!!!
today will conclude my two week stint of single parenthood. i have been telling people "i am loosing my mind one marble at a time." i created a photo titled:
self portrait: shrink wrap and gorilla tape, to hold the marbles in...



as you can see i am having so much fun with everything i learned in san jose. i have so much more to figure out. i will be experimenting with this blog template format to see how much i can manipulate it. i know there is a way to customize.
